ABOUT THIS PLACE
An authentic spot
An 822-metre rocky crag crowned by the ruins of Castell d'Alaró, the last fortress to resist the Aragonese conquest of 1285. A short but steep route with a tremendous reward at the top — Mallorca's most dramatic castle.
💡 Before you go
From Es Pouet: 45 minutes of strenuous climbing. A mountain refuge at the summit sells sandwiches and drinks. Best in autumn and winter: no heat and maximum visibility.
🚗 How to get there
Road between Alaró and Bunyola, turn off towards Orient. Park at Es Pouet on the hillside. By car only.
