About this tradition
The most spectacular re-enactment of the Conquest of Mallorca. It commemorates the landing of Jaume I on 10 September 1229 at Santa Ponça. Moors and Christians fight at the Caló d'en Pellicer and the beach of Santa Ponça, with the ball de l'Escamot, a medieval market and the griffin of Rei En Jaume.
