About this tradition
The festivities of one of the smallest villages in the Pla, in the middle of August. Lloret celebrates Sant Domingo with a week of events that brings together a municipality of under 1,500 people and everyone back on holiday.
History & origin
Lloret de Vistalegre was called Manacor de la Muntanya until 1925. It belonged to Sineu until 1924, when it became a municipality in its own right. The dedication to Sant Domingo comes from the old Dominican convent that held influence in the area.
How it is celebrated
Verbenes in the square, children's games, a petanque tournament and solemn mass on the patron's day. It is a family festival, with several generations at the same table in the square.
