History & origin
Santa Eugènia became independent from Santa Maria del Camí in 1878. The village sits below the puig de Santa Eugènia, with its prehistoric caves and a viewpoint commanding the whole Pla. Devotion to the martyr Eugènia has given the parish its name since the 18th century.
How it is celebrated
Verbenes in the plaça Bernat de Santa Eugènia, cucanyes, correfoc and a processó on the patron's day. Many events take place facing the puig, which is lit up on some nights.
