About this tradition
The Moors and Christians re-enactment commemorates the battle of the early morning of 31 May 1550, when 27 corsair ships of Dragut attacked Pollença. The hero Joan Mas leads the Christians. The day begins with the Alborada at 5:00 and the re-enactment at 19:00, with street-by-street battles up to Ca n'Escarrinxo.
