About this tradition
Lloseta's most characteristic pilgrimage: the whole village walks up to the Cocó oratory, in the foothills of the Serra, to spend the day in the pine wood. This is the Lloseta pancaritat, the collective outing that marks the end of Holy Week.
History & origin
The Cocó oratory was built beside a natural cave where, according to tradition, an image of the Virgin was venerated. Pancaritats — Easter Monday pilgrimages to a nearby shrine — are a Mallorcan tradition documented since the Middle Ages, and Lloseta's is among the best attended in the Raiguer.
How it is celebrated
The climb on foot from the village along the camí des Cocó. Mass at the oratory, and then the day is spent in the pine wood: blankets are spread, the leftover Easter panades are eaten and cards are played until mid-afternoon.

Associated gastronomy
Lamb and pea panades, brossat robiols and crespells: exactly what is left over from Easter. Wine and lemonade. This is the ritual food of the pancaritat.

How to get there
The oratory is 2 km from the village along a signposted path. Lloseta has a train station (Inca–Sa Pobla line).
