About this dish
Spiral bun of leavened dough made with strong flour, pork lard (saïm), sugar, eggs and water. PGI since 2003. The plain ensaïmada llisa comes in an octagonal box. The tallades version is filled with brossat (curd cheese), cabell d'àngel, custard or cream. Mallorca's most emblematic edible gift.
